Duration: 2 Years
Course Commences: February and July each year.

The Certificate III in *Stonemasonry (Monumental/Installation) provides comprehensive training in all practical and theoretical aspects of the stonemasonry trade. Wherever possible, work is undertaken on full-size projects at Holmesglen in its specially designed facilities.
The Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) is undertaken in the second year and provides advanced training for those wishing to undertake large scale and more complex projects. On completion of both Certificates, students may apply for entry into the Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) and receive advanced standing.
The course provides the skills and knowledge needed to plan and coordinate the construction of low-rise residential and commercial buildings.
The Certificate III in Stonemasonry (Monumental/Installation) provides students with the skills of a Stonemason as identified on the Migration Occupations in Demand List.
*Stonemasonry is the craft of shaping rough pieces of rock into geometrical shapes, mostly simple, but some of considerable complexity, and then arranging the resulting stones to form structures. Stonemasons learn about stone types, their applications and best uses, and how to work and fix each stone in place. A stonemason is someone that is involved in working with masonry materials and stone.
They prepare and lay hard and soft stone, marble, concrete blocks or slabs and other materials that are involved in building or repairing stone structures,
walls or monumental masonry (an example of monumental masonry is stone work for cemeteries or ornamental carvings on stone).
